Configura, maker of CET Designer software, and Global Furniture Group will release a CET Designer Extension at NeoCon this June in Chicago
Founded in 1966, Global offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed and engineered to meet the changing needs of workplace, education and healthcare environments.
Configura partnered with Global in October 2017 to develop the CET Designer Extension.
Our main goal with this Extension was to make the experience of specifying and space planning easier and faster across the full breadth of our product portfolio, said Phillip Damianidis, Global’s Configura implementation project manager.
The initial CET Designer Extension release will include Global’s lounge, metal filing and seating lines. Additional products, features and functionalities will be released in the Extension following NeoCon, according to Damianidis.

Used by thousands of people globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers by providing a single software solution for space planning and product ordering. The solution is used in a number of industries that manufacture configurable products; industries include office furniture, kitchen and bath, material handling, industrial machinery and laboratory/healthcare.
CET Designer is Configura’s “core” Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a given manufacturer’s products.
Global’s primary focus in the development of our CET Designer Extension was to start by understanding the user’s perspective and to craft an experience that supports how they work, said Damianidis. Our internal team of programmers worked closely with Configura to ensure we were always taking a user-centric approach, exploring all potential options and solutions. We’re excited about our partnership with Configura and the new Extension that we’re providing to our dealer-partners.
Global’s CET Designer Extension will be available on June 11, 2018. The company will demo the solution during NeoCon from June 11-13 in its showroom located on the 10th floor in Suite 1035 at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
